In one of the truly classic John Wayne films, Wayne portrays a wounded gunslinger who is taken in by a Quaker family and nursed back to health by their daughter (Gail Russell). While there, the girl's lifestyle affects him and makes him question the way he lived his former life. It was a deep performance for Wayne and it would make this one of his best films. Original posters for this title have always been scarce, however this particular Very Limited 1950 Re-release post is the most Rare release.

Note about Rarity:  The 1950 re-release was apparently a very limited theatrical re-release. And in 40 years of collecting classic film memorabilia this is the Only 1950 one sheet we have ever seen. The largest poster auction has never even offered this elusive 1950 one sheet.

Previously before this Rare Gem surfaced, the only known “Angel and the Badman” re-release was 1959 which had a completely different poster design.  This 1950 re-lease is the same design and artwork as the original 1947 release poster with minor color differences.   Hence, the studio must have used the same 1947 printing plate.
