Bette scolds a fan!

 

Offered is a most Extraordinarily unusual handwritten letter, signed by legendary actress Bette Davis.   Dated December 8, 1981, the letter is written on Bette Davis letterhead and is addressed to a Rita Davis.   The rather abrasive tone of the letter is signature Bette Davis. 

The letter is transcribed as follows:  "Dear Rita Davis, I have signed an enormous amount of photographs for you. My secretary and I never forget names. Please do not bother us again because we are sure you sell them."  Davis closed the letter with a flowing blue marker signature. The letter is toned and contains remnants of adhesive on the reverse. The piece is accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
