A FIRST for Cvtreasures !  As a matter of fact, this is the first time we ever saw this poster in our 40+ years collecting !

UNIQUE SUPER RARE TEASER/SOUNDTRACK MOVIE POSTER.. RARE Pre-Censored NIPPLE-POPPING Art

Original vintage MCA Records soundtrack poster for Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws”. This poster was only issued to record stores and was never available to the public. The art on this poster is similar to the Roger Kastel art for the theater one sheet, with one or two Major exceptions.
1.  Because this poster was issued before the film’s release it was distributed with the Pre Censored “Nipple” artwork.    Soon after and before the theatrical posters were publicly released the art was changed to cover up the nipples with bubbles on the one sheets.  Hence, this may be the ONLY poster to get out in circulation before the censored update.
2.  Also notably different on this soundtrack/Teaser are the four images of the sharks head rising to the surface to give the illusion the shark is moving upward toward his prey.

Size:  18x24"

This version poster is extremely Rare.  As a matter of fact, none of the major movie poster auction houses we researched have ever offered one.   And while auctions have sold 500+ of the regular one sheets over the past 15-20 years, this rare gem has eluded the collector market.   There is about 1-100 ratio of this poster to regular NSS one sheets on the market.

Condition:   Original Folded UNrestored condition.  Has some light border wear and original fold lines.  That said, a beautiful Extremely Rare poster.    * See enlargeable images above and below

Seasoned collectors have watched the 1975 Original “Jaws” one sheet movie poster skyrocket in value in the past few years.   But few, have seen this Rare Teaser/Soundtrack  Gem we just listed here.    Based on the one or two we could find, this poster has been referred to as a Jaws Teaser and a Soundtrack Poster.    Most likely some people call it as Teaser since this poster was produced Before the film and Before the film’s regular One Sheets.   Either way, it appears it was primarily used to promote the award winning and immortal iconic “Jaws” soundtrack and the spine tingling music that to this day practically every living person can immediately associate with “Jaws”.

Note:  Another reason this Soundtrack Poster discovery  is so significant is the iconic music score it represents.
* This is great quote on John Williams’s score for Jaws that ranks as some of the most terrifying music ever written for the cinema

“The legendary film composer on how two simple notes have terrified millions of moviegoers. Rarely have six basses, eight celli, four trombones and a tuba held more power over listeners. Especially in a movie theatre.”

JAWS:
Original US Teaser or record store poster, made to promote the movie soundtrack. Much, much rarer than the theatrical posters for this film. Has a small 1" tear on lower right border. With Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, directed by Steven Spielberg.

Original vintage MCA Records soundtrack poster (measuring 18 by 24 inches) for Steven Spielberg’s Jaws. This poster was only issued to record stores and was never available to the public. The art on this poster is similar to the Roger Kastel campaign used for the 1-sheet, but the image of the female swimmer is quite a bit more risqué.   * See enlargeable images above and below.

Size: 18x24”  Original folded

This may be the most Rare Vintage  "Jaws" Poster in existence !

Note: Cvtreasures stamp Not on original poster
