Rare Vintage Stunning 1971 Fight Poster for the "Fight of the Century".   And one of the most desirable of all Ali/Frazier fight posters.

Condition:   Very Good-Excellent Original Un-Restored Condition with expected wear and aging for 55+ year old poster.   None of the typical tears, pinholes, stains, etc that most of these have.   Has fold split on bottom vertical fold which is unnoticeable when laid flat, framed and especially not visible after linen backing.  Many collectors prefer Unrestored vintage posters so they can see the authentic age related evidence on  both front and back Before it gets linen backed,   such as the attractive age related patina on this gem!

As expected of an authentic 1971 theatrical poster, this example exhibits attractive vintage rich patina, original fold wear, and natural age-related characteristics that enhance its authenticity and historical appeal

Frazier vs. Ali Fight (Cinerama Releasing, 1971). One Sheet (27" X 41").
This original one sheet boasts "Will Not Be Shown on Home TV for 6 Months." The significance of that claim was extremely important in 1971, as Cinerama worked hard to out hustle the insatiable television market. The film chronicles one of the most anticipated events in sports history, and stirred up considerable interest and excitement. There was such buzz that Life Magazine hired Frank Sinatra to photograph the fight, and many other celebrities attended, including Woody Allen, Miles Davis, Diane Keaton and Ethel Kennedy.

Side Note:  In 1988 I really wanted a Muhammad Ali photo signed with one of this legendary inscriptionss. Mr Ali was more than generous as he added a terrific inscription to me and drew a Heart after he signed “ To Kevin, Love Muhammad Ali”.  He even threw in about five SIGNED Muslim Pamphlets.     Of course I still have that iconic signed photo.
