SHANE
Original Vintage Movie Poster Lobby Card, 1953

Starring Alan Ladd, Jack Palance

"The Chilling Sequence"

GUARANTEED ORIGINAL - Never Reproductions

One of my top 5 movies of all time. I've watched "Shane" maybe ten times and will watch it another ten. The first time we have acquired the original lobby cards. We had bid on a set a few years ago but it sold for $4200.

Just acquired eight lobby cards of the original eight card set.     Jack Palance may be the most vile villain of the classic western genre long before computers had to do most of the work and special effects.   Note:   See the other seven Original lobby cards we have listed here.

Condition:  Excellent.  Other then a few corner pinholes, this card is in Amazing 70+ year old condition!    For many this is the most Coveted and Iconic card of the set
This card highlights the scene that still stands as the movie’s most haunting moment. Jack Palance’s cold-blooded aura left me with a knot in my stomach the first time I saw it.
Seeing Elisha Cook Jr.'s body recoil from Palance's single gunshot to the gut still sends shivers down my spine.

Shane (Paramount, 1953).Lobby Card (11" X 14").
George Stevens directed this classic Western that stars Alan Ladd, who's fighting for the rights of the common man. Jack Palance portrays a nasty, sadistic killer who takes on Shane in a duel. This iconic picture has become one of the most beloved movies of the genre.

Starring Alan Ladd, Jean Arthur, Van Heflin, Brandon De Wilde, Jack Palance, Ben Johnson, Edgar Buchanan, Elisha Cook Jr. Directed by George Stevens.

Alan Ladd turns in a stellar performance as one of the greatest of all Western icons, the reluctant gunslinger Shane, who arrives in town in the midst of a standoff between settlers and a cattle baron with his hired guns. Unable to stay out of the fight, Shane defends his new friends Joe Starrett (VanHeflin), his wife Marian (Jean Arthur), and their son Joey, played by the wide-eyed Brandon De Wilde. Directed by George Stevens and filmed in the wide landscape of Wyoming and the Grand Tetons, this film is epic in every sense. Featuring stand out performances by Jean Arthur, Brandon DeWilde and Jack Palance, as well as gorgeous cinematography, the film is nothing shy of a Western epic.

One of the all-time great Westerns, and an interesting experiment in that the film unfolds largely in "real time," Shane is a favorite of many for its well-drawn characters and beautiful breathtaking scenery and Cinematography
