One of the most  spectacular Original TYPE I historical Three Stooges photos we’ve ever acquired.  The clarity and contrast on this early 1936 Stooges TYPE I Still photo is stunning!

From their 19th Columbia short “Slippery Silks” from 1936.   *With the most famous and recognized Stooges Co-star Vernon Dent.    his was pure Stooges magic!   

Has extraordinary provenance on the back with the original studio snipe along with Moe Howard’s ownership label.

Note:   Some photos in this recent discovered collection also have the "Norman Maurer" stamps on the  back.     Maurer along with his wife Joan Howard Maurer (Moe's daughter) owned the rights I believe in the late 50s early 60s.  

Film Bio:
Slippery Silks is a 1936 short subject directed by Preston Black starring American slapstick comedy team The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine and Curly Howard). It is the 19th entry in the series released by Columbia Pictures starring the comedians, who released 190 shorts for the studio between 1934 and 1959.
