Rare and Highly Desirable..    The Style A "First Printing" Star Wars One Sheet in Amazing UNUSED Condition!

Of all the Star Wars movie posters created for this Sci Fi legendary film,  this  style A has always been the most desirable with its spectacular artwork and graphics    by Tom Jung.

Original Star Wars style A one sheet from this 1977 classic. With the well known proof of authenticity mark, the  "union stamp" at bottom. And,  NO "Hair line"  on Luke's belt, which IF present would indicate a "pirated copy".  (* See enlargeable images below)

*NOTE:      And if this FIRST PRINTING doesn't    excite you enough,    it gets even better!  Because this Authentic gem is Tri-folded Only, meaning Only horizontal folds, NO vertical folds  (Most all one sheets prior to 1980 were folded four times, vertically and horizontally)..  This Incredible  100% UN-Restored find has NO Vertical FOLD LINE  and looks like it just came off the printing plate over 45 years  ago.  And is most surely UNUSED with no sign of displaying or handling!    The colors and gloss are pristine !

Condition:   This historical Sci Fi one sheet movie poster is in Mint condition.    It is in  completely  UN-Restored,  UNUSED    Condition.  

ALSO,   note in the enlargeable images a Rare phenomenon !   With other First Print one sheets you may have seen, including the one that sold this past weekend at a   well known auction for $4000,   the fold lines that go across have “broken color” due to multiple times being folded.   In THIS one sheet we are offering you will notice the fold lines that go across have virtually No “broken color”.   Which is why you don’t see  white lines running Vertically down the poster.   This is due to being unused and stored for the past 45 years.     And also, because after it was discovered it was Not refolded but rolled which is how we have it stored today.   Hence, a spectacular Gorgeous mint condition one sheet.

UPDATE (3-31-21):  Although we have seen a few rolled First Printing one sheets, this is the First time we have ever seem a Tri-fold (No vertical folds as all other one sheets have).  A one sheet for this poster in NM "rolled" condition sold on March 28, 2021 at auction for $5520.00

IMPORTANT  INFO:
This original 1977 one sheet First Printing poster originates directly from the ILM studio advertising department at Skywalker Ranch and was never sent out to a theater for display.  It is 27" x 41",  in C-10 mint condition; folded (Horizonal Only) and then rolled with no flaws or vertical folds.
This is a genuine  original movie poster  issued for theatrical display by the studio in 1977 when the film was first released.

This came from a small find at Skywalker Ranch that were held as a back up supply in the advertising department during the actual movie release 44 years ago.

Background on the Style A "Star Wars" One Sheets:
One of the most coveted of all Original Star Wars movie posters is this Style A  "First Printing"  one sheet.    There were Four known printings, most of the one sheets released were from the  3rd  and  4th  printings, with the  2nd  being more rare, and the most rare of all, the First  Printing.   

*  The most obvious differentiation is the  FIRST PRINTING  has across the bottom border "one sheet - style A" and the NSS number as "77/21-0". The following  2nd,  3rd  and  4th  printing just have 77/21.         * See enlargeable  images above and below.    

The intense and even obsessive Star Wars fan base has made this one of the best investments  in the world of collecting.   With tremendous appreciation value.     With such  fervent demand this FIRST PRINTING Star Wars gem  could  be selling for over $5000  in a matter of a few years!

"STAR WARS" STYLE A ORIGINAL 1977 ONE SHEET MOVIE POSTER.

VERY RARE UNUSED Condition!
Original domestic release  27x41" poster No. 77/21-0. Due to the immense popularity of this movie, there were four different printings of this "Style A" one-sheet poster.      MOST of these posters were released folded and a Very Small percentage   were rolled (like maybe 1%), the poster we are offering is a RARE UNused Tri-Folded. Printed on heavy glossy paper stock. The first printing (the poster offered here) has the original NSS number of 77/21-0, while the next three printings have the 77-21 NSS number. The first three printings all have "Style A" printed in the bottom border, while the fourth printing does not.  This poster has the appropriate NSS exhibition notice, a sharp and clear GAU image and the 1977 copyright is correctly indented. There are no stray black lines near Luke Skywalker's belt (which would  indicate a Pirated copy) . ©1977  20th  Century Fox Film Corp. Poster features great art by Tom Jung of Luke and Princess  Leia  in dramatic pose w/his  lightsaber  pointed to the sky. Images of  C-3PO  and  R2-D2  appear behind them, interesting in that this poster features their initial designs and not final film designs. Darth Vader appears in bkg. alongside fleet of spaceships approaching the Death Star. Scattered handling/margin wear but still VF overall.
