Ethel Merman and Dan Dailey are the heads of the Donahue family of entertainers, with children Tim, Steve, and Katy (Donald O'Connor, Johnnie Ray, and Mitzi Gaynor) in this fun Irving Berlin spectacle. Marilyn Monroe's part as Vicky Hoffman lead to her being cast in Fox's The Seven Year Itch the following year.
