The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Warner Brothers, 1948). Title Lobby Card (11" X 14").
John Huston directs this gripping adaptation of Bernard Traven's bestselling novel, a story of adventure, betrayal, and murder as Humphrey Bogart and Tim Holt set out to find a lost fortune in gold, guided by grizzled Walter Huston. Walter Huston picked up an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor, while his son, John, took home twin statuettes for Best Director and Best Screenplay.

Fred C. Dobbs (Humphrey Bogart) and Bob Curtin (Tim Holt), play two unemployed drifters in 1920s Mexico, where they meet an eccentric old prospector named Howard (Walter Huston), who convinces them to search for gold in the remote Sierra Madre mountains. With limited supplies and hard-earned trust, they locate a rich vein and begin extracting gold dust, but as the gold accumulates, so does mistrust. Dobbs, increasingly consumed by greed and paranoia, suspects his partners of plotting against him. Dobbs's descent into madness accelerates, culminating in treachery and violence. Alfonso Bedoya, who plays a Mexican bandit speaks one of the most famous quotes, "Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!".  A classic of 1940s cinema, this card is beautiful and a must for the classic movie aficionado and/or cinematic art collector.

John Huston's father Walter Huston also won an Academy Award (for Best Supporting Actor), and Walter can be seen on this striking boldly-colored lobby card poster with star Humphrey Bogart staring each other down.
