House of Dracula (1945) is a classic Universal horror film directed by Erle C. Kenton. It is one of the final entries in Universal's monster series, serving as a direct sequel to House of Frankenstein (1944). The film brings together iconic monsters including Dracula (John Carradine), the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr.), and Frankenstein's Monster (Glenn Strange) in a storyline centered around Count Dracula seeking a cure for his vampirism from Dr. Edelmann (Onslow Stevens), who also attempts to treat Larry Talbot's lycanthropy. As experiments unfold, madness and chaos ensue, leading to a climactic confrontation between science and monstrosity.

The movie is noted for its atmospheric sets, blending horror and science fiction with themes of redemption and tragedy.

1950 Re-Release:
In 1950, House of Dracula was re-released by Realart Pictures, which revived many of Universal's classic horror films for a new generation. Realart created fresh promotional materials, including new one-sheets and lobby cards, to market the film's return to theaters. These posters are now highly sought after by collectors for their distinctive mid-century style and connection to the golden age of monster cinema.

NOTE:   We acquired the Two Very Best Lobby Cards of this set.   This breath-taking Wolf Man is our favorite.   The other is the stunning Frankenstein close-up!

House of Dracula (Universal, R-1950). Fine. Lobby Card (11" X 14").
Starring Lon Chaney Jr., John Carradine, Martha O'Driscoll, Lionel Atwill, Onslow Stevens, Jane Adams, Ludwig Stössel, Glenn Strange, Skelton Knaggs, Boris Karloff. Directed by Erle C. Kenton. Unrestored lobby cards with good color and an overall very presentable appearance.

Condition: This #3 card (Frankenstein)  has small paper losses at the corners and edges, a small bit of tape in the bottom border and a short strip of paper tape in the left border. The verso has a number of small pieces of tape around the borders and a number of tape stains as well, all of which can be corrected with restoration.  However,  we like the attractive vintage remnants of authenticity just as it is!

This stunning image was not available in the original release set.
