This is one of the most historically significant Three Stooges movie posters ever issued.   The primary reason is it was the first Stooges film with Shemp when he returned to replace Curly after Curly's stroke.   In addition, this poster has some of the most spectacular artwork of any Stooges poster I've ever seen.   Note the boxing theme with Larry in the inset getting a right hook to the jaw!    Very rare poster as this is the only one I have ever seen and the largest movie poster auction house has never offered one.

Very good condition as this gem has been professionally linen backed.   Has subtle signs of fold lines close up (all movie posters prior to 1980 were folded by the studios prior to shipping to movie theaters). 

Fright Night, One Sheet Movie Poster (27x41")... Columbia Pictures..   The 1947 Edward Bernds slapstick boxing sports comedy short ("The Stooges are PUNCHIER than ever... in a KNOCKOUT of screwy joy!") starring The Three Stooges (Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Shemp Howard), Dick Wessel, Claire Carleton, Stanley Blystone, and Tiny Brauer. Note that this was the very first Three Stooges short where Shemp replaced Curly, and Shemp said that it was his very favorite one! 

Fright Night marked the return of Shemp Howard to the Stooges, who had last performed with the act 17 years prior. Shemp agreed to rejoin the act until brother Curly Howard recovered enough to return to the Stooges (Curly never did). Fright Night was reworked in 1955 as Fling in the Ring, using ample stock footage. It was Shemp's favorite Stooge film...  * See enlargeable images above and below
