Rocky Marciano vs. Don Cockell
Original Vintage Fight Poster (40x60")

Terrific vintage boxing poster with amazing graphics of iconic fighter Rocky Marciano and Cockell.  Excellent condition.  And, never folded as with most vintage posters, hence NO heavy fold creases.  Just expected border and handling wear.   We sold a Rocky Marciano fight poster a few years ago, but it did NOT have the spectacular full body images as this poster!   This (and the other one we have against Archie Moore )  are the best Marciano boxing posters we have ever seen!
And in large life-like size of 40x60 Inches !

Rocky Marciano vs. Don Cockell Fight (United Artists, 1955).
Poster (40" X 60").
On a cool San Francisco evening in May of 1955, World Heavyweight Champion boxer Rocky Marciano delivered a vicious and merciless beat-down upon British Empire Champion, Don Cockell. Cockell withstood numerous blows over the course of eight rounds, but lost in the ninth by a technical knockout. Maricano said of Cockell, "He's got a lot of guts. I don't think I ever hit anyone else any more often or harder." This poster, which features both pugilists, has pinholes in the corners, minor edge wear, light staining in the background, and a dust shadow in the left border going into the image. Rolled, Very Fine-.
